This is another one on Brett. He got knicked with the razor while shaving his beastly shin, but we did the tattoo anyway. All the while watching Goodfellas. Tufffff.
This one is an older one on my buddy Amets that I touched up recently. Millie Hull memorial tattoo. Do your research, kids.
Flyer I made for the last Friskey Whiskey show me and Drew put on. Fun times, as always.
Here are some tattoos I've done on myself over the last several months. The skull was pretty early on, and is a bit janky. The cat was an early attempt that I fixed up a bit recently. The dagger was a first experiment with color. Been tattooing a lot, but also flaking on friends that want tattoos sometimes. So sorry about that, if you're of them. I'll cut that out, I promise.
Tattoo underneath the skull is from an E.C. Segar drawing, put on by my old friend Tamara, rad lady who does rad stuff.
I believe that stick n poke below the dagger was the handiwork of Jess, an even older friend of mine, who also happens to be a rad lady that does rad stuff.
Thanks for looking. Drop me a line if you want a tattoo or whatever and ever. NWallinESQ@gmail.com
A tattoo I did on Jason. I first met him by giving him a tattoo, now he's a friend. Sometimes life is cool. He drew the text, we both like R. Crumb fonts. Thanks, dude.
This one's on Josh, it's an Al Burian drawing. It was fun to do. Thanks for getting tattooed. One of his rad bands just finished a new demo, it sounds great.
Here's a flyer I put together for a show my band played earlier in the month. It was fun, all the bands are awesome.
Here's a tattoo on my dear friend Eric. His first tattoo was a bro-tattoo with me and our friend Jess. I've known him longer than any other friend I've got. Check out his sketch comedy stuff, they're doing big things. Here's to more tattoos and hanging again soon. Thanks, man.
A drawing I started a while ago that I almost like to much too ruin with sloppy coloring. Here's some Bert Grimm flsh I redrew on a page. It was fun. I've got two Bert Grimm images on me. I love his stuff, classic in the truest sense.
Also, my band Bad Visions is playing on Sunday June 19th at Brooklyn Fireproof. We go on around 9 I think. It's free, and maybe a BBQ or something. Come hang.
Here are some tattoos on my dear friend Brett. All of these were started over the last few months, and due to various machine problems or lack of technical ability didn't look too hot, so we went back into all three of them today. The cat the bottom is the most recent, but still over a month old. Brett was the first person to let me tattoo him when I bought a machine, and continues to keep trusting me with his skin. Thanks a lot, dude, I truly and greatly appreciate it. Brett plays rad music. He's got a tape out on Wild Isle and is working on an LP. Support this man, he's a great dude who makes great stuff. They're few and far between.
Here's some flash sketches I threw together and sloppily started coloring. Interpreting some Doc Forbes flash. If anyone sees this and wants me to tattoo any of these (or the cats) on them, I will not only do it for free, but also make you dinner. Holler. NWallinESQ@gmail.com Flyer I did for this month's Friskey Whiskey show at Brooklyn Fireproof. Should be a blast.
I wish I was drunk and swimming in a spring in Texas all this weekend, but instead I was just drunk.
Twin Peaks tattoo on everyone's favorite dude Chris. Go see his band The Men and buy their new record, they're seriously great. Thanks for getting tattooed, man. Flyer for the next Friskey Whiskey show at Brooklyn Fireproof, booking miscommunications resulted in a bill of five rad bands. Come get weird, it'll be awesome. I put together this quick digital collage thing for my new band's new internet presence. That was fun.
We're playing May 21st with Scapegoat, Pregnant, Foreign Objects, Perdition, and Crazy Spirit at 538 Johnson, and May 29th with dear friends Sweet Tooth Nelson and Teardrops at Legion (790 Metropolitan Avenue, BK). Come hang out.
